This beautiful C123 280CE coupé is finished in Thistle Green metallic with a cream cloth interior. It has covered 117k miles backed up by a full service history and is in lovely condition throughout.
One of Mercedes’ prettiest cars of the period, the 123 coupé combined engineering quality with elegant, timeless lines and, in the case of the 280, excellent performance. It is little wonder that the model is so collectable today.
Aside from metallic paintwork, this CE is equipped with electric windows and sunroof, alloy wheels and cruise control.
In the same family (father, mother, then daughter) ownership until 2014, then three subsequent keepers.
All original books and manuals come with the car along with a folder of receipts for recent work. Full service history.
Importantly, since 2015 nearly £20,000 has been spent making sure it remains in excellent condition. This work included a complete rebuild of the front and rear suspension, drivetrain, brakes, cooling system, fuel system and ignition system. Then the body was stripped, checked for corrosion (very little found) and rebuilt with new, genuine front wings. As a result, this is a nicely well sorted 123 Coupé.
Featured on the cover of Classic Mercedes magazine (Winter 2018) issue, with a seven-page feature within.
Ads the images show, this C123 is in very nice condition inside and out. Plus, thanks to its substantial recent refurbishment it drives very well too. Supplied by ourselves to the last owners who have enjoyed it for the last five years.
Soon to become a historic vehicle, making it ULEZ, tax and MoT exempt.
Good 123 Coupés are thin on the ground, so this example offers a great opportunity to buy a really good, useable example that has been properly looked after. A very pretty and desirable car.
