This W123 280E has just 21k miles from new and has recently been subject to a light restoration/recommission by W123 World.

This may well be one of nicest W123 saloons out there.

The 280E was the most powerful W123 with its 185bhp six driving through the desirable automatic gearbox. Finished in Thistle Green metallic with green cloth, optioned with factory air conditioning (a rare option), electric front windows, rear headrests and an Oris towbar.

Purchased new by a Mr Dean of Truro as a company car, he then transferred it into his own name in 1995, and it remained in his family until 2021 when it was acquired by the current owner. Essentially this is a two-owner car.

Having been on the look-out for a saloon, the current owner couldn’t believe it when this car turned up 5 minutes from his office in Cornwall. Given the car had seen little use with just 20k miles recorded, he commissioned W123 World to refresh the car where required. In total he invested an additional £15k into the car including a rebuilt braking system, fuel system, suspension, major service, new tyres alongside engine bay and underside detailing.

Unsurprisingly, with such low mileage, the car is cosmetically exceptional throughout with one of the best interiors we have seen and all completely original.

Comes with all its original books/manuals and a history folder including bills for its recommission and all correspondence with W123 World.

Note, this car is immediately eligible to be transferred into ‘historic’ tax class at point of sale, making it tax exempt, MoT exempt and ULEZ exempt.

This car is quite simply as good as it gets, and quite possibly the nearest thing to a new W123 if such a thing existed.
