A 280TE with leather is not an easy car to find, but it is an extremely desirable one. This 1985 example has done 132k miles from new and received extensive attention from model specialist W123 World.
Finished in Astral Silver with navy blue leather, alloy wheels, electric windows, electric sunroof and Becker stereo. First registered 21st March 1985, making it a fairly late 123.
There has been much money spent in recent years ensuring it remains in lovely condition. This has included a rebuilt transmission, new delivery system including fuel tank, new tail lights, new brakes including calipers, new exhaust system and new suspension spheres.
Plenty of history from recent years and serviced by Mercedes of Oxford before returning in 2022 to W123 World for further fettling.
This 123 estate presents very well indeed with very clean bodywork and a very tidy interior with original leather. The engine bay is nicely detailed and, most importantly, the underside is in excellent condition and well detailed.
Refurbished alloys, good tyres and excellent chromework.
Long MoT with no advisories, HPI clear.
Overall, this is a very nicely sorted and very usable 123 estate with the desirable 280 engine, leather trim, sensible mileage, and evidence of considerable expenditure in recent years. These cars are now nigh on impossible to find in good order. The ultimate classless, yet classy practical classic.
