This beautiful R107 300SL is finished in Diamond Blue metallic with a navy blue leather interior and hood. It has had just three owners from new, the last keeping the car for 27 years.

 

Supplied new by Waterhouse of Chelmsford on March 17th 1986 to a Mr Sargent who owned the car until 1990 when it was sold to a Mr Wilkinson. Six years later it was purchased by its third and final keeper, a Mr Branford-White.

 

This SL has the usual specification with electric windows, ABS, automatic gearbox, fire extinguisher and headlamp wash/wipe. The colour combination is particularly elegant and the full leather trim is a particularly nice option. Of course it comes with its standard hard top in Diamond Blue to match.

 

This 300SL has covered 95,268 miles from new. This is backed up by a full service history – service book and a file of supporting paperwork – comprising 19 services. We have just carried out a major service including transmission, coolant and differential.

 

All original books/manuals in the leather wallet, old MoTs, registration documents and a spreadsheet of the car’s history compiled by the last owner all come with the car. HPI certificate and spare keys.

 

Having been garaged for at least the last 30 years this SL is in lovely condition. Crucially, it has no corrosion underneath, no previous corrosion repairs and a perfect, original bulkhead. It is very hard to find R107s as solid and original as this example.

Excellent paintwork and brightwork, bright headlamps and the convertible hood is brand new. The hard top is in lovely condition too.

The interior is similarly superb and original with a Blaupunkt stereo and ribbed over mats.

 

The alloy wheels are freshly refurbished and wear new tyres all round.

 

This car runs and drives beautifully and is a pleasure to drive.
