A bright and presentable facelift R107 SL on the road with 12 months MoT.
Finished in Arctic White with Medium Red leather trim. Matching white hardtop and red fabric hood. Originally optioned with leather upholstery, cruise control, rear seats and headlamp wash/wipe.
Desirable facelifted model of the R107, and the 420SL was always the least common variant.
First registered in February 1987. Full service history comprising of 23 stamps in the two service books, but paperwork detailing further services in the history file – the car evidently spent some time in the South of France between 2008 and 2018 and there are service invoices for that period too.
Over £10k spent with SL Shop towards the end of 2022 on work including repairs/replacement of the sills and floor.
New hood (in non-original red) fitted in 2023.
HPI clear with certificate. Two keys.
The mileage is recorded as 135,730, but the odometer does not appear to be currently recording miles.
The photographs best describe the condition but suffice to say it’s clean and tidy with some blemishes you’d expect at this price point. It’s worth noting that in addition to the recent hood, the wheels have been refurbished and wear matching Michelin tyres with lots of tread. The blower motor, cruise control and headlamp washers are not currently working.
With a recent MoT, this pretty SL is set for the summer motoring. It benefits from a full history, significant recent expenditure and great colours. Of course, it’s not a perfect example but a usable one with potential and a very affordable way into R107 ownership.
