A lovely W126 300SE in arguably the best colour scheme of Nautic Blue metallic with Mushroom leather interior.

 

First registered in March 1990, this was a nicely specified 300SE with leather trim, electric seats, alloys wheels.

 

In 33 years, it has only had four owners. The last owner, since 2008, kept a detailed log of every service (15 services) and every penny he spent on the car, even down to recording every tank of fuel he put in it.

 

Recent work has included new brake calipers, pads, a refurbished steering box, refurbished wheels, new distributor cap and rotor, engine gaskets and new injectors.

 

This 126 has covered 166,653 miles but it drives absolutely beautifully. We have encountered many with less than half the mileage that do not drive anything like as well as this car, it is a delight.

 

As the photos show this is a very smart, tidy car. Yes, there are a few minor blemishes up close, but nothing that jumps out at you. More importantly, the underside is in excellent condition with no rot or previous repairs.

The refurbished wheels are unmarked and wear premium tyres all round.

 

The interior is in great condition with supple, original leather in great condition, original over mats and nice woodwork.

In summary, a great W126 for someone who wants a nice, well-maintained example to use regularly. Great looking and wonderful to drive, the W126 was the S-Class at its most elegant.
