A beautiful Porsche 944 S2 finished in Velvet Red metallic with Linen leather trim and sports electric seats.
Supplied new by Dutton-Forshaw in St. John’s Wood, London in January 1990, this 944 retains all its original books and manuals with a very good service history comprising of 15 entries. 122k miles from new. HPI clear.
The 944 S2 was the final iteration of the 944 and, aside from the Turbo, the most desirable model thanks to the introduction of the 208bhp 3-litre 16-valve engine that gave the car the performance it deserved, reaching 60mph in under seven seconds and on to almost 150mph.
Over the last year the car has received a light restoration by one of our senior technicians. This included replacement of both left and right full sills using genuine Porsche panels and a complete repaint in its original colour. The original Design 90 wheels have been refurbished by Lepsons and shod with new matching Avon tyres. All discs and pads have been replaced along with the replacement of the front dampers. The engine has received a new head gasket, new water pump, plus new timing and balance belts. All the jobs that usually need doing on these cars.
In lovely condition throughout with unmarked bodywork, a superb interior and all equipment works as it should. The underside is in excellent order and well protected with Dinitrol.
On the road this 944 drives extremely well with correct oil pressure and temperature readings. Unlike modern cars, it really rewards the driver with a truly analogue experience combined with a punchy engine and incredible handling.
In summary, this S2 in attractive and unusual colours has had all the usual 944 trouble spots expertly attended to, leaving nothing for its next owner to do other than enjoy this classic Porsche. Tremendous value.
