A lovely and original three-door W463 G-Wagen finished in silver with grey cloth trim.
Specified with alloys wheels, automatic transmission, factory towbar (appears unused), electric windows, power steering and central locking.
Finding W460s and early W463 that haven’t been tarted up with big wheels, bodykits and blingy lights is not easy. But we like these off-roaders as MB intended, so we were pleased to find this 300GE short-wheelbase, complete with amber indicators, original wheels and correct black bumpers and wheelarch extensions.
The body on this G is very good indeed. Whilst there’s the odd little mark or scuff if you look hard enough, the paintwork presents very well, and, crucially, there isn’t any rust evident. The hefty chassis underneath is in good order too and is original with no previous repairs.
Similarly, the interior is tidy, features a new Blaupunkt radio and original over mats. There’s a small patch of wear to the driver’s seat base that can be seen on the photos but it doesn’t detract.
Runs and drives really well, in fact it’s one of the nicest 300GEs we’ve driven.
Recent work includes 4x new matching Goodyear tyres, new brake hard lines, a service, and new door lock actuators.
Recent MoT with no advisories.
181k miles with a full service history.
A great, usable, unmolested early W463 G-Wagen. Lots of money recently spent and ready to drive and enjoy.
