A beautiful 300TE with just 98k miles from new, optioned with 7-seats, A/C, electric seats and cruise control.

 

The beloved 124 estate is a hard car to find today, particularly in 6-cylinder form. Most were worked hard from day one and thirty years later are all used up, if still in existence.

 

This late pre-facelift example was sold new in Japan and imported into the UK in 2015 where it has had two owners.

Finished in Pearl Blue metallic with navy cloth interior, this 300TE has the 3-litre straight-six with a four-speed automatic. In terms of options, it has 7-seats, air conditioning, both electric front seats and a driver’s airbag.

 

There is a substantial folder of service history including its service book from Japan and all bills from the UK. We have just carried out a cylinder head rebuild and replaced the head gasket along with new injectors and all new ignition components. Other recent work includes a transmission service, cruise control module refurbishment, wheel alignment and replacement rear suspension accumulators. Suffice to say, this 124 has been very well maintained.

Thanks to spending most of its life in Japan the underside is in excellent condition and free from corrosion. We note from the bills that it has recently been wax-protected underneath too.

The body is very nice, lovely paintwork and no rust or dents. The interior is in similarly good condition. The load area, which is often worn, is in excellent condition. The original 15-hole alloy wheels are in good order and wear matching all-season tyres all round.

 

Thanks to the low mileage and recent work carried out this 300TE drives very nicely indeed. These six-cylinder 124 estates have always been such a classy and practical ‘do anything’ car and very desirable.
