Finished in Tourmaline Green metallic with grey cloth interior, this 2.5-litre, 5-cylinder diesel 124 was equipped with an automatic transmission, factory air conditioning and alloy wheels.

 

Purchased by its first and only owner from Speeds of Stratford in February 1995, then spent its life in London from 1998 onwards.

 

Only 99k miles from new, which is very low for a 124 diesel. These cars were bought to do high mileages and most did, so finding examples with only this many miles after nearly 30 years is very hard indeed.

 

Major service and brake replacement carried out less than 100 miles ago. Comes with all its original books and service history. HPI clear with certificate.

The car is very original throughout. It even still has its original number plates front and rear! The underside is in exceptional condition with no rot – thanks to a salt-free existence in London – and no repairs/welding.

It is not perfect cosmetically with expected minor marks and blemishes, but as the photos show its most certainly tidy and very presentable. Similarly, the interior is clean and tidy throughout.

 

On the road this 124 drives incredibly well. It feels tight, well-sorted and is so relaxing to drive.

 

While this 124 diesel is more of a driver than a show car, it is a very solid, well looked after and highly original car with just one owner from new.
