A gorgeous C55 AMG Estate with just 38k miles from new and full history, finished in Diamond Black with black leather.

 

Produced only during the latter half of the W203 C-Class’ production run, the C55 AMG followed the classic MB/AMG concept of stuffing a great big V8 into as small a car as possible. In the case of the C55 this took a significant amount of re-engineering as the whole nose of the car had to be lengthened to accommodate the hand-built, naturally aspirated 5.4-litre V8.

Estate versions of performance saloons such as these always seem to carry more kudos but are always built in fewer numbers and the C55 is no exception. In total just 595 were built worldwide, making it one of the rarest AMG cars of the 21st century.

 

This 2004 example is finished in Diamond Black – a colour that appears black until the sun hits it and reveals the dark blue metallic – with a black interior. It has the usual high specification including electric/memory/heated seats, climate control and xenons. The full spec is listed below.

In addition, it has a Dynavin audio system (replacing the original COMAND) that gives the car DAB radio, sat-nav, music streaming and more.

 

Imported from Japan (where most were sold) in 2020 where it has benefitted from the kind climate and lack of road salt.

It has a full service history with all its records from Japan and the UK. Recently serviced by ourselves. It has two remote keys and owners’ manuals in both Japanese and English.

 

Inn beautiful condition throughout with superb paintwork, unmarked wheels wearing recent matching Michelin Pilot Sports tyres fitted in 2022. The interior is similarly lovely with no wear or damage.

The underside is in excellent order with no corrosion, thanks to spending most of its years in Japan.

 

This car is Euro 4 petrol so is ULEZ compliant and comes with a confirmation letter from MB. It is also on PLG tax class, not emissions-based, so road tax is £295 per annum.
