A beautiful and rare C55 AMG estate with just 58k miles from new.
Produced only during the latter half of the W203 C-Class’ s production run, the C55 AMG followed the classic MB/AMG concept of stuffing a great big V8 into as small a car as possible. In the case of the C55 this took a significant amount of re-engineering as the whole nose of the car had to be lengthened to accommodate the hand-built, naturally aspirated 5.4-litre V8.
Estate versions of performance saloons such as these always seem to carry more kudos but are always built in fewer numbers and the C55 is no exception. In total just 595 were built worldwide, making it one of the rarest AMG cars of the 21st century.
Finished in Brilliant Silver with black leather trim. Usual high spec including xenon headlamps, heated/memory seats, folding mirrors, climate control etc. Dynavin installed providing a modern infotainment system.
Imported from Japan (where most were sold) in 2021 where it has benefitted from the kind climate and lack of road salt.
Sold by ourselves in 2021 to an enthusiast who has cherished the car since.
Has its original books, service sheets from Japan and all its UK service history. Last serviced at 56,733 miles, with a major service carried out (including plugs) at 53,775.
As the photos show, this C55 is in exceptional condition throughout. The body and wheels are near enough unmarked. The interior is superb and, of course, being a car from Japan, the underside is in beautiful condition.
ULEZ (and other clean air zone) compliant. Road tax £345 per annum.
Fast, rare and practical, and quite under the radar other than to car guys. In beautiful condition throughout.
