The C63 AMG needs little introduction. By putting the big-capacity AMG V8 in the C-Class they created a modern-day muscle car. Not only was it incredibly fast, it had drama and excitement that’s hard to find in modern cars. An instant classic was born and, although the model continues today, downsizing, turbocharging and inevitable electrification means the W204 C63 with the high-revving 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 was not only the first of its kind but also the end of an era – the last hurrah for big V8s – making them modern classics in every sense.

The estates have always been the most desirable – they’re somehow a bit cooler, and they’re more useful. Then the one option said to be a must have is the Performance Pack, which this example has. This raises the top speed to a limited 174mph, it has an Alcantara steering wheel plus uprated brakes and suspension, but it also adds the all-important limited-slip differential.
