Supplied new in Japan and just imported by ourselves. We import these late model Mercedes from Japan for three reasons. Firstly – spec. While 350 petrol models were available to buy in the UK, everybody chose diesels during this era. Today, these 350 petrols are the sought after choice as they’re fast, smooth, incredibly economical and, importantly, compliant with ULEZ and other clean air zones.

Secondly – mileage. We can find extremely low mileage cars in Japan that are much harder to find in the UK.

Thirdly, and most importantly – condition. It is impossible to buy cars in the UK that are in as good condition as cars from Japan. A culture of looking after, garaging cars combined with a better climate and, crucially, not using road salt means these cars are in incredible condition.

This car is near enough unmarked throughout, it really is truly exceptional. The body and brightwork are pristine, the wheels unmarked and wear recent, matching Pirelli tyres all round. Inside the seats are still satin and, in the boot, the entrance plinth is still covered by the protective plastic film from new.

Of course, coming from Japan, the underside is similarly immaculate, without all the corrosion found on UK cars.

In addition to being ULEZ and other clean air zone exempt, this car benefits from cheaper road tax than a UK equivalent would, at just £360 per annum.
