A beautiful six-cylinder W124 with low owners and just 94k miles from new.

Finished in the classic Mercedes combination of Brilliant Silver with navy blue leather trim. It is equipped with 8-hole alloy wheels, walnut wood, headlamp wash/wipe, leather upholstery, electric windows and sunroof, and rear headrests.

Supplied new by Greenoaks MB of Maidenhead. In fact, it was owned by Greenoaks for around 6 months until it was sold to a gentleman from Wiltshire in spring 1992. He kept the car for 25 years before giving it to his grandson, who owned it for another 4 years. Since 2022 it has been in the hands of an enthusiast and MB club member who used the car sparingly at weekends, and for club events, and dry storing the car when it wasn’t being used. So, just three registered owners from new, two being in the same family.

All books and manuals come with the car including the service book and recent receipts. Main dealer history from new until 54k miles, and then a significant recommission in 2021(including a gearbox service, new brake calipers and hoses, new propshaft couplings and much more), followed by the last owner having the car rigorously maintained by John Haynes – serviced every year despite covering only 4000 miles in his ownership. Last serviced in March ’25 at 94,535 miles and the radiator and coolant was changed the previous year. MoT until April ’26 with no advisories. HPI clear.

This 260E is in beautiful condition inside and out. The paintwork is superb with correct contrasting satin grey lower half. The wheels are superb and wear matching Continental tyres.

The inside is beautiful and shows that this car has been garaged throughout its life. The leather is in fantastic condition, even the instrument needles are still orange and unfaded. High quality ribbed over mats are fitted and a more modern USB stereo.

This car drives incredibly well; the 260E’s six-cylinder engine gives the car that smoothness that makes these cars so nice to drive. Plus, all the recent mechanical work has ensured it drives just as it should.

While it would be wrong to say W124s have become rare, nice, well-preserved and well-maintained, sensible mileage examples are now very hard to find, but this 260E is just such a car
