A beautiful six-cylinder 124 coupe with just 36k miles from new.

The 320CE was a short-lived model that bridged the gap between the outgoing 300CE and the facelifted E320 Coupé. It was essentially the pre-facelift 124 with chrome grill and amber indicators, but with the new 3.2-litre M104 engine and electronic fuel injection. While this cross-over model was short lived, it is to many eyes the best of both models.

Supplied new by Croft & Blackburn of Harrogate in November 1992, this 320CE specified with Almandine Red metallic paintwork, Mushroom leather upholstery, eight hole alloy wheels, heated seats, cruise control, headlamp wash/wipe, 4-speed auto, electric windows and sunroof.

Eight months later, the car was sold again, this time by Malaya of Bromley to a Mr Rogers, who traded in a Porsche 944.

Mr Rogers kept the car over 26 years. He bought the car in 1993 with 8693 miles and when he sold it in 2019 it had only covered 26,750 miles. Today the mileage stands at 35,959.

We have just replaced the head gasket and engine wiring harnesses, so the new owner can be confident that the two inevitable big jobs on these cars have been carried out.

The bodywork is in excellent condition with gleaming paintwork having been freshly polished. The wheels are unmarked and wear matching Goodyear tyres. The rear windscreen, which is usually delaminated on these cars, is in perfect condition.

The Mushroom interior is excellent condition too with very few signs of use. It has had a new Blaupunkt Hamburg SGM23 recently fitted, giving period looks with modern DAB, Bluetooth and USB.

Drives beautifully with very lively performance and that crisp, tight feel that only low mileage cars have.
