If you’re looking for a W202 C43 AMG, we have not seen a finer example than this.

The W202 C43 AMG was the first car that was fully productionised, following the complete merger of Mercedes and AMG. Whereas the W202 C36 was a C280 that was modified by AMG, the C43 was built from the start as a unique model.

The 4.3-litre M113 V8 was hand built by AMG, modified to put out 300bhp, then squeezed into the lightweight C-Class body. The result was a characterful mini-muscle car that had inertia-less performance and tight handling. It was exactly the sort of performance car Mercedes were good at making. Only just over 3000 were produced worldwide with only a small percentage of those being right-hand drive. It’s thought that UK sales only amounted to 406 cars.

This particular car was sold new in Japan - unusual as in Japan these are usually LHD – and particularly well specified with gorgeous Green Black metallic paintwork and black leather trim. It has a glass sunroof, electric/heated seats, folding mirrors and the birds eye maple trim extends to the door pulls.

Being from Japan it does not suffer from the big issue that affects these cars, rust. In fact, the body is absolutely immaculate outside and underneath, you simply never see W202s this good.

The interior is similarly superb, with no wear or UV damage, it still feels new.

Comes with its original books, service history and two remote keys.

These are fast becoming a very collectable AMG, and this must be one of the best and most original.
